Screen to Speed Season 2 Launches With Global Esports Games Pathway for Women in Sim Racing

iRacing expands support and broadcast exposure as Screen to Speed gives female drivers worldwide a competitive platform ahead of the Global Esports Games in Los Angeles

August 19th 2026 - INIT Esports announces the launch of Screen to Speed Season 2, beginning Sunday, August 23, with an expanded international focus and new opportunities for female sim racers to showcase their talent on a global stage.

A key development for Season 2 is its connection to the women’s sim racing category at the Global Esports Games (GEG), taking place in Los Angeles this December.

With participating nations expected to select female representatives for the competition, Screen to Speed will provide a championship where female drivers from any nation entering GEG can compete, build their competitive experience and demonstrate their skills.

The initiative is designed to support greater participation by women at the Global Esports Games while providing national esports federations with an additional opportunity to discover and follow female sim racing talent.

iRacing Supports Expanded Visibility

iRacing is supporting the initiative by carrying Screen to Speed Season 2 on its official broadcast channels, starting from round 2 of the series, providing increased exposure for the championship and the women competing in it.

Screen to Speed will also be distributed internationally through Esports Edge on Roku, eClutch in the MENA region, and the INIT Esports YouTube and Twitch channels.

The expanded distribution will allow drivers to showcase their racecraft to audiences, industry stakeholders, and national federations around the world.

Season 2 Begins August 23

The opening round of Screen to Speed Season 2 will take place Sunday, August 23.

Official Time Attacks are already open on iRacing, allowing registered drivers to begin setting times ahead of Sunday's race.

Expanded Championship Points Structure

Season 2 introduces an updated points system designed to reward performance throughout the complete series:

• Time Trial: Up to 10 championship points for the top 10 eligible drivers

• Pole Position: 1 championship point

• Race 1: 25 points for the win, with points awarded through 20th position

• Race 2: 25 points for the win, with points awarded through 20th position

The new format places greater emphasis on consistency across Time Trial, qualifying, and both races.

Building the Pathway for Women in Sim Racing

Screen to Speed was created by INIT Esports to increase opportunities, participation, and visibility for women in sim racing. The connection between Season 2 and the Global Esports Games represents another step toward creating a clearer competitive pathway from community racing to international representation.
