šŸ Racing Dreams Begin at Desert Oasis High

ree

Last week, something extraordinary roared to life at Desert Oasis High School: Sim4STEMĀ enteredĀ Southern California’s high school with its renowned STEM andĀ racing simulator program.

Picture this — a classroom buzzing with excitement, students gripping steering wheels, eyes locked on screens, learning physics, engineering, and data analysis as they race. But it’s not just about speed. It’s about unlocking futures.

For many of these students, this is their first time experiencing cutting-edge tech — a glimpse into worlds like automotive design, esports, and data science. With every lap, they weren'tĀ just chasing victory on the track; they were discovering passions, building confidence, and imagining new possibilities.

Mike Nause, one of theĀ instructors: ā€œWe’re not just teaching kids to race — we’re teaching them to think, solve, and dream bigger.ā€

Lidalen Flores, the only female to step into the program, said:" I enjoyed it very much as it helped me with my driving skills in real life".

A big thank you to WorkED, which took the initiative to bring the program to this community.Ā

This is only the beginning. Soon, Desert Oasis hopes to expand the program, welcome industry partners, and maybe even launch local competitions.

Because when you give young people the wheel, they’ll drive us all toward the future.
