Road Atlanta 90 – GT3 Series – iRacing

Road Atlanta turned into a battlefield for precision, patience, and raw pace in Event 6 of the Team USA Talent Scout Events powered by MOZA Racing. The GT3 grid brought the heat from the very first lap—and every corner demanded perfection.

Race Recap – When Grit Meets Grip

From the drop of the green flag, Jordan Johnson made his intentions clear, launching off the line with a perfect start and immediately pulling away from the field. Behind him, Alejandro Fernandez and Erik Halsband went wheel to wheel in a fierce 15-minute duel for second place. The two swapped positions multiple times in a thrilling display of racecraft until slight contact sent Halsband six seconds adrift, ending one of the most intense mid-race battles of the season.

Further back, Edgar Sanchinelli and Marc Lerwick engaged in a tactical chess match that stretched nearly the entire race, with Lerwick eventually breaking free through consistent, composed driving. In the Women’s Category, Brooke Protasiewicz delivered an impressive start, gaining two positions in the opening laps. However, dirty air mid-race disrupted her rhythm, causing a spin that cut short her charge, but her pace early on showed exactly why she’s one to watch.

At the front, Jordan Johnson remained untouchable. Even a minor brush with the wall in the closing laps couldn’t shake his focus as he cruised to a commanding victory at Road Atlanta. It was classic Road Atlanta: punishing, technical, and filled with stories of resilience.
